The alliance between Congress and Samajwadi Party has atlast confirmed for the coming UP elections. Congress will be contesting in 105 seats, while Samajwadi Party will be contesting in 298 seats. Initially, Congress demanded 120 seats, but Samajwadi Party refused to give those many seats and asked Congress to confine to 100 only.
