Even as supporters of Jallikattu (taming of bull) went about participating in the sport, defying ban orders, those who opposed it observed a bandh. They took out protest rallies, condemning Jallikattu and raised slogans. Shops were closed in some areas. With this, a few Jallikattu supporters blamed actress Trisha, who is an activist of People for Ethical Treatment to Animals (PETA). She had strongly opposed Jallikattu that does great harm to the bulls. Her opponents however, went a step ahead and posted an obituary of hers on social media, to express their anger. With this, Trisha lashed out at them and said that everyone has a right to their opinions.
