WATCH the rare sight of snow-clad regions of North India, which is experiencing a bitter cold winter this season. Locals say that it is some 20 years since they have seen such snow and ice. At Srinagar in Jammu and Kashmir, entire lakes have frozen into in ice. At Kufri in Himachal Pradesh, the snow has spread all over the mountain slopes like white sheets and people are enjoying it. Sports like sking are being organised. Auli in Uttarakand is another place where the snow and cold weather is being welcomed by the people as an opportunity to take part in winter sports. The cold weather is showing its effect even in the plains, with the temperatures dropping sharply. In Delhi the season's lowest temperature of 2 degrees C, has been recorded this morning.
