Sankranti celebrations had already been started in Telugu states. Foreign Girls took part in 2017 Sankranti Festival Celebrations Grandly In Warangal. They all enjoyed the various activities reflecting India's culture & heritage such as colourful rangolis with cow dung "Gobbemmalu" in between and well decorated 'Gangireddu' plays. An NGO named Bala Vikas in Khajipet organised the celebrations by inviting all the foreign girls who came to India for Study tour. Sources say that about 40 countries representatives attended the celebrations. They said it was an amazing colourful festivity they have ever seen. Most of the foreign girls wore Salwar Kameej and said they had an amazing experience.
