Hyderabad Police organised Cyber Security Awareness workshop in the city, to make the people aware of risk to their accounts while transacting online or using debit and credit cards. In view of more and more people conducting cashless transactions, there are number of cases of money vanishing from accounts, A number of cases have been registered at cyber crime police station, where customers complained of losing their money, with messages from banks stating that their accounts were closed. Reacting to this, the police warned the people to be aware while conducting the transactions online. Rachakonda CP Mahesh Bhavath related an incident in which a NRI lost Rs. 42 lakhs from his bank, due to cyber crime.
