Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his speech in Varanasi took a strong dig at Former PM Manmohan Singh and former Finance Minister P. Chidambaram. Adressing on the occasion,PM Modi said that it is the need of the hour to move ahead following the latest trend of technology. The Prime Minister said cashless transaction is the need of the hour and people should welcome it. Making a scathing attack at the former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh's take on cashless scheme, PM Modi said he was in the main economic core committee since 1970 and his sayings that 50 % of the people of the country are poor and hence can not adapt the scheme, is ridiculous.PM Modi, jokingly said, Manmohan Singh has given his progress card. Modi has also made satirical comments on former finance minister P Chidambaram, who objected the cashless scheme alleging that 50 % of the villages have no electrification. Modi countered saying satirically, does he mean that he uprooted the electrical poles during their earlier rulings.
