The week-long traditional festival 'Yogurt Festival' has kicked off in Lhasa. It is also known as Sho Dun Festival in Tibet . It is an annual festival held at Norbulingka or 'Jewel Park' palace in Lhasa, Tibet. The festival dates back to the 17th century as a religious occasion in which residents offered yogurt to monks who had finished their meditation retreats.
