Journalist Diary-Rise in lower middle class in India is no sign of a growth - Tv9

In a recent survey taken up the Centre, it was found 91 per cent of Indian families spend on parlours and barbours. Lower middle class population has grown from 30 crore to 60 crore, i.e, 50 per cent of 124-crore Indian population is lower middle class. According to the Central government, any person, who is having capacity to spend from Rs 134 to Rs 268 per day falls under lower middle class. But, most of the lower middle class families have migrated from villages and earning money to make a living in the expensive urban cities.
