A huge earthquake, measuring 6.7 on the richster scale, shook Japan today. The epicentre of the quake was at Shizunai, at the north eastern tip of Japan. It lasted for nearly 10 seconds, frightening the people, who ran out of their houses. Officials issued Tsunami warnings. The tremors were felt in the entire northern Japan and in Central Japan, with lesser intensity.
