The AP cabinet, which met in Vijayawada, took a decision to hand over government-run liquor shops to private persons through tenders. It also took a decision of shifting all state government employees to Vijayawada from Hyderabad by June 2016. The cabinet agreed to grant local status to employees children, who would be shifting from June 2015 to 2017. Other key decisions include setting up an Urdu University in Kurnool, to appoint an IAS officer to supervise sales of sand and also to set up a separate corporation for Kapus with 100 crore fund by November 7.
