Rs 13,580-cr insurance due from Centre to farmers: MP Jithender Reddy

The TRS government is paying huge premium on behalf of farmers. The Centre is due Rs. 13,580 crore towards insurance for farmers to recover from losses. But it has given only Rs. 280 crores to the farming community, he said. It is neither giving insurance nor even buying the produce, he observed. "When the farmers are facing problems and committing suicides, is not the Centre responsible?," he questioned.
