Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu said that Andhra Pradesh would be made as power surplus state within one year. He said power generation through solar and wind would be given priority on par with thermal power. He made these remarks while representatives of solar and wind power generation companies entered into an agreement with the State government for setting up Rs 1900 crore worth projects in AP. Meanwhile, Chandrababu instructed officials of the Housing Department to adopt China and Singapore models for constructing houses with superior quality for poor.
