Leaders of Centre of Indian Trade Unions (CITU) have staged a protest against AP government's land acquisition act in Srikakulam on Friday. The CITU members after launching the rally tried to burn the effigies of state and central governments. Police has obstructed their move which has turned violent. the agitated CITU members have been arrested and shifted to Two Town police station in Srikakulam. CITU leaders addressing the media have alleged that state government has been forcefully taking the lands from the farmers and handing over to Corporate people. They have faulted central government for supporting the land acquisition act.
