A 900-year-old piece of artistic sculpture from Khajuraho temple, which somehow reached Canada, was returned by Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper to Indian PM Narendra Modi in Ottawa yesterday. The sculpture also known as 'Parrot Lady' was carved for placement in one of the Khajuraho temples that form a UNESCO World Heritage Site in the Madhya Pradesh. The stone sculpture depicts a dancer with a parrot on her back. Modi is in Canada with focus to set up ties through cooperation including civil nuclear and attracting trade and technology.
