Even as Jr doctors across TS have intensified their 13-day strike, deputy chief minister Rajaiah called on chief minister KCR today and appraised him of the situation . For the last 2 days, Jr Doctors have been boycotting emergency services also in Government hospitals in Warangal and Hyderabad. KCR seemed to have asked for alternative ways of dealing and providing emergency medication. If the proposed talks with the striking doctors are not fruitful, government is planning to take tough measures against the Jr Doctors. Non-teaching staff and Regular PG students are deputed for emergency services in hospitals in the aftermath of the strike. Govt is also proposing to invoke the Essential Services Maintenance Act (ESMA) to deal with the situation.
