Wordy duel over duration of discussion rocks AP Assembly

Hyderabad, March 16, 2015: AP assembly was rocked today with the verbal war that erupted between YSRCP and TDP members over giving more time for the opposition members to speak on Polavaram and Patti Seema projects under Rule 344. Leader of the Opposition Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy has demanded two-and-a-half hour time to discuss the Polavaram and Patti Seema projects but the ruling benches said that much time can not be given to discuss those two issues under the Rule 344. Speaker Kodela said only half an hour can be permitted under the said rule. However, the YSRCP Chief has persisted on his demand. He warned that his party members will stall the proceedings if enough time is not given to them.
