Cockfight bettings to cross Rs. 100 Cr for this Sankranti
Hyderabad, Jan 7, 2015: Despite High Court orders to officials to ban cockfights in the coastal districts, MLAs and MPs , especially TDP MPs are going ahead with arrangements to organise cockfights in both East and West Godavari districts for the Sankranti festival. Reports said this time betting acts worth Rs.100 Cr may take place on cockfights that will be organised at 25 villages in West Godavari district abnd at 10 villages in East Godavari district. The most interesting part of cockfights for this season is that organisers are making changes to the cockfight campuses as per Vaastu requirements. Apart from several villages in Godavari districts, hundreds of people from Hyderabad also are expected to attend the sport.
