9 dead, 12 injured in accident in Karnataka
Bengaluru, August 25: In a ghastly accident, nine people died while another 12 persons were injured in a accident in Karnataka. The jeep in which the deceased were travelling was hit by a lorry while trying to overtake it at Balinahalli, Tumkur district on Thursday morning.
The injured were shifted to local hospital. Doctors said that the condition of the four of the injured was critical. The deceased were identified as natives of Rayachur district.
Police rushed to the spot and filed a case. According to information, there were 20 persons in the jeep when the mishap took place.
