Netaji kin seek RSS help to declassify files

Kolkata, Dec 28, 2014: A section of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose's family, that has been campaigning for declassification of secret files relating the nationalist leader, have sought the intervention of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) on the issue. A delegation of family members led by Netaji's nephew D.N. Bose met RSS central secretary Indresh Kumar in the city on Saturday. "Besides seeking the RSS intervention in getting the secret files declassified, we also called for setting up a judicial commission to investigate Netaji's disappearance mystery after Aug 18, 1945," family spokesperson C.K. Bose said Sunday. Describing the meeting as positive, he said Kumar has assured of taking up the matter with the government. A large section of the Netaji family, researchers and historians have been seeking declassification of over 100 secret files said to be with various central government departments including the PMO.
