Chandrababu announces Sankranti gift for the poor
Hyderabad, Dec 23, 2014: The AP Government has decided to gift provisions worth Rs.226 each to all poor families in the state for the Sankranti festival. This was announced by Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu in the assembly today. A Pack of items consisting of half a kg Red gram, half liter palm oil, one kg Bengal gram, half a kg jaggery, 1 kg wheat flour and hundred grams ghee will be gifted to the people below poverty line having the white ration cards, he said. The total expenditure will come to around Rs. 280 Cr and the entire subsidy will be borne by the government , Chandrababu Naidu said.
