TS Minister Patnam appeals to NRIS to adopt Bus depots, villages and tanks

Hyderabad, May.21: Telangana Transport Minister Patnam Mahendar Reddy has called upon the Non-Resident Indians living in the United States of America to extend whole-hearted cooperation and mite for transforming the Telangana State into Bangaru Telangana like determined Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, who spared no efforts and compelled the Centre to concede separate State.
            Participating in Telangana State Formation Day celebration “Meet & Greet” organized by Telugu associations --- AATA, GATA, TATA and TANA --- in America at Cuming Skyland Business Center in Georgia, Mahendar Reddy said development in both the Telugu States was going on expeditiously after bifurcation of then united Andhra Pradesh. Stating that Telangana State was developing fast in the last three years with Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao implementing unique programs, which are being hailed and emulated by the other States in the country, Mahendar Reddy said the Telangana State would become industrially very strong with many investors coming forward to set up their units in the State due to attractive incentives and liberal policy announced by the Chief Minister.
            Stating that the historic Mission Kakatiya Scheme would turn thousands of dry lands in the State green, Mahendar appealed to the NRIs to adopt water tanks in their native places and help the water-starved farmers. Pointing out that the Chief Minister came to the rescue of the dwindling TSRTC by releasing Rs 2,000 crore, the minister appealed to the NRIs to adopt depots and give fresh lease of life to them.
