Hyderabad, May.20: Chief Secretary SP Singh today directed the officials concerned to make fool proof arrangements for the forthcoming state formation day at Parade Grounds on June 2.
Singh conducted a high level review meeting with officials of various departments at Secretariat and instructed them to make arrangements in a perfect manner. He discussed on various programs to be conducted on the occasion which will reflect the culture and traditions of the state. Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao will pay tributes at Martyrs’ Memorial at the Assembly and then reach the Parade Grounds, Singh said.
He will address the gathering after unfurling the national flag and distributing awards to 50 meritorious persons in various fields he informed. Since the state formation is the top most priority event arrangements should be made in a perfect manner Singh said. The officials should take every measure to spruce up Raj Bhavan, Assembly, Secretariat, Charminar, historic monuments and buildings with illumination. To mark the occasion fruits and sweet have to be distributed at old age homes, orphanages, hospitals and to the blind students.
He asked the information officials to make arrangements for live telecast, LED TVs, PA System, commentators, coverage. Singh said to take up clean drive at the parade grounds, setting up of mobile toilets, traffic regulation, police bandobust, uninterrupted power supply, drinking waters, ambulances, specialist doctors, barricading, fire tenders and decoration of the dais with flowers. A contingent from Haryana will be participating in the celebrations as Telangana government got into an agreement with Haryana government as part of Ek Bharath Sreshth Bharath program. Singh also directed to conduct cultural programs at Peoples’ Plaza and at Ravindra Bharathi on June 2 evening to reflect the culture and tradition and also to organise a food festival with Telangana food varieties.
