TTD inks pact with TATA trust for world class Cancer Hospital in Tirupati

Tirumala, May.5: In a historical move, the temple management of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams has signed MoU with TATA Trust to set up world class State of Art Cancer Hospital in Tirupati for the benefit of denizens.

The TTD EO Dr D Sambasiva Rao and TATA Trusts Managing Director R Venkataramanan have formally signed the documents in Ranganayakula Mandapam in Tirumala after darshan of Lord Venkateswara in presence of Natarajan Chandrasekharan, Chairman of TATA Group and  RK Krishna Kumar, Trustee of TATA Trusts.

Speaking on this occasion TTD EO Dr D Sambasiva Rao said, “With a noble intention the state government has intended to make Tirupati a medical hub. We have already SVIMS and BIRRD with state of art medical facilities. Earlier Aravind Eye Hospital has come forward to set up an Eye Care hospital with world class standards in Tirupati. In another 15 days time the construction works of the hospital will commence. Now the TATA Trust has come forward to set a State of Art Cancer hospital with world class facilities in Tirupati to provide enhanced services to the needy. They have already set up world class cancer hospitals in Mumbai and Kolkata. And now we will have the world class Cancer hospital in next couple of years. Already from the past one and a half years, TATA Consultancy Services(TCS) have done impeccable services to provide enhanced IT services in darshan, accommodation, laddus etc. with transparency to multitude of visiting pilgrims in Tirumala and Tirupati. Now they will be offering best medical services to cancer patients soon. I wish the Lord to bestow His benign blessings on them to do more and more services in future too”, he maintained.

The managing Trustee of TATA Trusts  R Venkataramanan said, “We are very much delighted to have MoU with the country’s one of most biggest religious institutions of TTD to set up this State-of-Art Cancer Hospital in the temple town of Tirupati. For a global cause we have taken up this mighty task with the blessings of Lord Venkateswara. The hospital will complete in next 18-24 months time in this holy pilgrim city. Our aim is to provide affordable and equitable high quality cancer care to the masses.

Earlier the Chairman of TATA Group,  N Chandrasekharan and Trustee of TATA Trust  RK Krishna Kumar have expressed their immense pleasure on the momentous occasion. “We arepleased and grateful for the opportunity to serve the needy.
