Chandrababu Naidu asks officials to expedite temple projects
Vijayawada, April.13: Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu today held a review with the officials of the Endowments Department. Key ongoing projects in Srisailam, Sri Kanaka Durga and Srikalahasti Devasthanams were reviewed by the Chief Minister.
The Endowment department was taking up projects such as housing, outer ring road, commercial centers and other heritage restoration and landscape works in and around the Srisailam Devasthanam. Later the Chief Minister reviewed the Simhachalam endowments lands issue and asked the officials to take immediate steps to put an end to this issue. He also spoke to Srinivas, Advocate-General on phone and asked him to take necessary steps to solve the issue. He said strong arguments should be put forward before to the court with regard to the case.
The Chief Minister said the State government would take up the responsibility of ensuring justice to all the 12,000 people, who purchased lands belonging to the temple several decades ago.
