Venky forgets he is a ‘senior hero’!
Venkatesh, though a senior actor, never thinks that he is a star hero and behave as a normal and simple personality. He chooses characters that suits his age. Be it ‘Drushyam, Gopala Gopala or the latest film Guru’. He sport a middle-aged person and he delivers his performance with an attitude of a performer. Leave alone his career, even while promoting his film ‘Guru’, he surprised everyone from the media. He showed no ego or attitude and make the media believe that he is just promoting the film and did not show any inhibition as a star hero or senior hero.
When a journalist casually asked him to sing the song ‘Jingidi’ which he sang in the movie on his own, he immediately took the mike and sang the song. Throughout the promotional programme, he behaved as an upcoming actor without any kind of ego or attitude. When somebody asked whether he really learnt boxing, he did not exaggerate and instead said that in order to portray the role, he should know the basics of boxing and hence he went to a coach and learnt boxing. During that time, he said that he remained like a student and observed how a coach behaves with the students and their body language and attitude and also learnt the basics of boxing from the coaches. He also used to see the boxing videos of Mohammad Ali and others to learn the tactics from them too, which helped them in acting in his role.
