Guru remains steady in collections on Sunday

Venkatesh is one such actor, who is choosing characters that suit his age. Instead of dancing with heroines who is half of his age, he is accepting roles of a middle-aged man. Be it Gopala Gopala, or Drushyam. In both the films he played the role of a father of teenaged children. Now, in the latest film ‘Guru’ also, he played the role of a middle-aged man, who is a boxing coach. At the same time, to appear in the role of a boxing coach, he underwent coaching in boxing for few months and did lot of workouts for a toned body. The film had earned a positive talk and hence the film-makers are promoting the film in a planned manner.

The director of the movie, Sudha Kongara is sharing some interesting points about Venkatesh in the social media. As part of it, Sudha Kongara reportedly leaked the response of Mega Star Chiranjeevi’s wife Surekha about the movie. It seems the film unit had invited Chiranjeevi and his family for the screening of ‘Guru’ and Surekha did not show much interest as she thought that the film would be about boxing and fights and there may not be any interesting subject. However, she agreed to watch the movie at the insistence of the Mega Star.

However, after watching the film, she became so emotional while watching the emotional scenes in the film. The film which had earned a positive talk in the first one week, became further strong on Sunday. The trade analysts say that the Sunday collections are higher than the first two days’ collections. In all the screens there were houseful collections on Sunday. As per the Tollywood analysts, the net collections are around Rs 8 crore by the weekend. In case if the same situation continues on Monday, there will be no looking back for the movie for the next two weeks.
