Self-defence training for Rachakonda women cops

Hyderabad, March.7: “Police self-defence is a vital component of officer survival training. As a matter of fact, in order to be prepared for today’s dangerous and unpredictable world, police officers need to learn self-defence for both armed and unarmed encounters.

Hapkido (the Korean martial art) has a wide variety of self-defence training programs to suit policemen. The seminar is a complimentary gift from the Hapkido Federation – India and Soul Konnect Foundation to the police forces, who serve and protect our country and our nation”.

Bollywood, Telugu, Kannada, Marathi Actress Isha Koppikar, who is a black belt in Taekwondo and expert Hapkido and her master MR Sardar Md Shaik, who is expert in Hapkido for last 40 years, want to train Rachakonda Women Police of all ranks with self-defence techniques to empower the women police personnel physically to make them strong to face challenges in their daily duty delivery on the eve of International Women’s Day.

Some 175 women police personnel of Rachakonda Police Commissionerate will be undergoing in Hapkido technique for self-defence and arrest of accused. This is a special program of Rachakonda Police for International Women’s Day.
