Guntur Govt. hospital successfully conducted heart transplantation second time

Government General Hospital, Guntur successfully conducted heart transplantation for the second time in 12 months. The hospital was the first district head quarter hospital in the country to perform heart transplantation and yet another surgery succeeded yesteday. 28-year old Heera Bai of Kurnool was detected with cardiomyopathy by Dr Gokhale and required to undergo heart transplantation. Being poor, their family members unable to arrange the heart transplantation operation in the private hospitals and thus gets registered in Sahrudaya trust run by Dr Gokhale and jeevandan trust run by NTR health university. Oleti Subbareddy of Karedu village in Prakasam district was severely injured in a road accident on Monday. He was declared brain dead and doctors suggested his family memebrs to donate his organs. Knowing this, Dr Gokhale summoned Heera to the hospital and simultaneously he has managed to arrange special chopper for bringing heart.
