Hyderabad, Sept.11: One Varalaxmi of Yadagirigutta Mandal of Nalgonda district has lodged a complaint against slain gangster Nayeem at Medchal Police Station alleging that his accomplices had obtained her signature on some plain papers by threatening her.

According to Varalaxmi, she had eight acres of land at Chinna Kandukuru village in Yadagirigutta Mandal in Nalgonda district. Her husband Balakrishna had purchased the land in 2003 and died in 2009 due to illness. As Varalaxmi was staying with her parents after husband’s death, Nayeem gang set their eyes on her land, which was under litigation.

Speaking to media persons here on Sunday, Varalaxmi said one Anjaiah approached her along with one Bhongir Raju and a lawyer Krishna and others and threatened her saying they were followers of dreaded Nayeemuddin. They forcibly obtained her signatures on plain papers and asked her to transfer her land by taking Rs.50,000. She also alleged that Bhongir Raju threatened her uncle to register the land in their favour. She said.
The Medchal police have registered a case and taken up an investigation, she added.
