Harish Rao slams Oppn jibe on creation of new districts

Tue, Sep 06, 2016, 06:05 PM
New Delhi, Sept.6: Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao today condemned the comments of the Opposition parties that they will move court against delimitation of districts.

Talking to media persons here on Tuesday, Harish Rao took serious exception to the Congress leaders’ threat to move the court against the delimitation of districts. He called upon the people not to allow these leaders into their villages and chase them away for trying to spike the delimitation process, he thundered.

The Opposition parties are envious as the delimitation would bring good name to chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, he rebuked. Claiming that the delimitation process was going on in a scientific manner, Harish challenged the Opposition to come for an open debate at the cross roads of either Siddipet or Jagtial. The Minister slammed the Opposition for deliberately coming in the way of development.

Just for political mileage, the Congress and Telugu Desam are crying foul, he alleged. In spite of the Opposition’s misinformation campaign and attempts to stall the proceedings, the government will go ahead with its plan, he asserted. Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao is holding a Collectors’ conference on the issue and after public opinion, a final call will be taken, Harish Rao said.
