Parthasarathi gives roses to arresting cops: YCP bandh a success

Tue, Aug 02, 2016, 12:25 PM
While the State-wide bandh call given by the YCP for Tuesday is proving to be a success with the arrest of the party leaders all over, in the AP capital region of Vijayawada the people witnessed typical Gandhigiri. Former minister Parthasarathy greeted the lathi-wielding police waiting to arrest him with roses.

Parathasarathy moved into the streets with a bunch of roses, knowing the police were waiting for him. The police accepted the roses from Parthasarathy but immediately lifted him bodily and dumped him in a waiting van to take him to the police station.

Once they get orders, the police treat Gandhigiri and goondagiri on the same plane.

Elsewhere in the State, in Tirupati, where Narendra Modi famously promised the Special Category Status from the portals of Lord Balaji and so far backed out in fulfilling it, YCP leaders Bhumana Karunkar Reddy and Chevireddy Bhaskarreddy were arrested for making the SCS demand.

The YCP leaders all over the State have moved into the streets.
