Hyderabad, July 30: Chief Secretary Dr Rajiv Sharma today directed the officials concerned to make all arrangements for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Gajwel in Medak district on Aug 7.

Rajiv Sharma held a high-level review meeting with the officials of various departments and police officials and discussed on the Prime Minister’s maiden visit to the State for the flagship program of Mission Bhagriatha at Komatibanda village in Gajwel Mandal.

The program is aimed at giving potable waters to the people being launched in the home district of Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao. Rajiv Sharma asked the officials to persistently monitor the arrangements for Modi’s five-hour stay in the state. Having directed by the chief minister, Rajiv Sharma took stock of the arrangements being made and asked for continuous monitoring. The officials are making arrangements for a helipad at Komatibanda area and place being spruced up for a public meeting.

The Chief Secretary directed the police commissioners to make the best security arrangements for the prime minister’s visit. The state Government is more cautious on the security arrangements for Modi’s visit as the NIA sleuths and state police in the recent past arrested a few terror suspects in Hyderabad and investigating. The Centre has informed to the state government about Narendra Modi’s schedule, and officials are involved in making the necessary arrangements.
