Actor Shivaji tells TDP to scrap alliance with BJP

Sat, Jul 30, 2016, 12:18 PM
Tollywood actor Shivaji on Saturday gave a call to drive out the BJP whose government at the Centre had denied the mandated Special Category Status to Andhra Pradesh post-combined AP split. He said the BJP proved to be worse than the Congress in this episode.

He urged the ruling TDP that if they had any self-respect that was championed for the Telugu people by Anna NTR, they should come out of the alliance with the BJP. On what basis did TDP supremo Chandrababu Naidu send Sujana Chowdary to the Centre for holding a ministry in the alliance, Shivaji asked. Sujana had totally failed in securing the interests of the State, he added.

In any case, the BJP game plan of denial of SCS to AP was clear. NTR's TDP should, therefore, come out of the alliance.

Shvaji called for driving out the BJP from the State. There should be no BJP in the State now. Only then it would understand its betrayal to this State.
He said it was the constitutional right of every Andhra to fight for the SCS for AP.

In this connection, he was particularly severe on the manner in which BJP senior leader belonging to the State, Union Minister Venkaiah Naidu, had behaved in the whole SCS discussion by hunting with the hounds in the SCS denial.
