Megastar Chiranjeevi has come out in the open on the KVP Ramachandra Rao Bill seeking Special Status for Andhra Pradesh, saying the BJP government at the Centre should support the Bill or risk facing a wipe-out in AP.

The Congress leader and former Union Minister was speaking to the media in Parliament premises.

He said the BJP was trying to avoid a vote on the KVP Bill by all kinds of subterfuges. He said the BJP must explicitly support the Bill or it would face difficulties in AP. He said as an aside that the ruling TDP in AP also faced the same situation as its alliance partner.

As for the Congress, Chiranjeevi assured the people that the Congress party was for AP's development.

He reiterated that the BJP must and should support the KVP Bill, or it would face ignominy.
