NRI B.R. Shetty is Brand Amaravati Ambassador

An NRI in Abu Dhabi, BR Shetty, has become Brand Amaravati Ambassador, promising to put in an investment of Rs 12,600 crore in the new Andhra capital. Shetty, who was earlier instrumental in building the Abu Dhabi capital, has entered into an agreement with the AP government on the Amaravati plans. While leaving Vijayawada, the NRI businessman told the media that he would be marketing Brand Amaravati. In his tours round the world, he would be inviting businessman to invest in Amaravati. He would explain to them the immense opportunities that would be available in the new Andhra capital. He is recipient of Padmasree (2009) and Pravasabharatiya Samman (2007). His net worth is $540 million. Dr.Bavaguthu Raghuram Shetty, better known as B R Shetty, is Chief Executive Officer & Managing Director of the Abu Dhabi-based New Medical Centre Group of Companies. He is a pharmacist by training and he is building a medical university in the Gulf.
