Middlemen minted crores in EAMCET-2 leakage; High-level probe ordered

Taking a serious note of alleged irregularities and allegations of Eamcet-2 paper leakage, the state government has ordered a high-level inquiry. Health and Medical Education Minister, Dr C Lakhsma Reddy, said on Tuesday that they have ordered a high-level inquiry into the allegations pertaining to Eamcet-2 examination paper leakage. Recently the government released results of Medicine examinations conducted through Eamcet-2 and the process of counseling is on to fill up some 3000 seats at various colleges of government and in the private sector. There are allegations that some students left the coaching centers week days before the coaching was completed with purported CDs of the papers leaked. While the poor students excelled in the examinations eventually, the merit students failed to get better ranks in the examinations that added to the heartburn and misgivings over paper leakage. It is alleged that some middlemen have ‘minted crores’ in the murky deal of paper leakage by supplying the students with related CDs. Taking a serious note of the episode that may become a scar on the the government and his department, the Health Minister maintained that an inquiry was ordered. The Eamcet-2 leakage gave much headache to the state government. The health minister hastened to add that if leakage is found true by the inquiry committee, the government will take serious action on those involved.
