Hyderabad, July 17: Convener of the newly-formed political party “Bangaru Telangana Party” Mohammed Amanullah Khan today announced his decision to undertake fast-unto-death from October 2 if the KCR Government failed to enforce total prohibition in the State by Gandhi Jayanthi Day.

Addressing the media here today, Amanullah Khan alleged that ever since the TRS Government assumed power, a number of fatherless children is on the increase. He said most of the fathers were dying due to excess iquor drinking habit while some others were killing their wives under influence of liquor.

As a result, the innocent children were being orphaned. In fact, the State was becoming “Orphans Telangana” due to liquor flow. Khan said Golden Telangana would be possible only by enforcing total prohibition in the State and continuing the developmental and welfare schemes. He said his fast was also meant to demand 12% reservation to Minorities and ST communities as promised by the Chief Minister among other things.

Sharada Goud, High Court Advocate, and Human Welfare Committee leader also spoke and assured support of women to Khan’s fast. A. Sathireddy, Shaik Raheem, Mohd Azeemuddin and Farooq Bhai were present.
