Sat, Jul 16, 2016, 06:56 PM
Hyderabad, July 16: YSRCP has decided to move a private bill in Rajya Sabha seeking amendments to Anti-Defection law.

During the monsoon session of Parliament, the YSRCP will raise its voice against manipulative measures by AP Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu for luring MLAs from other parties in an undemocratic way. During the just-concluded Parliamentary review meeting here on Saturday, YSRCP President YS Jagan Mohan Reddy met with party's MPs. They have discussed the issues and agenda for the monsoon sessions of both the Houses. YSRCP Rajya Sabha member Vijaya Sai Reddy will move a private bill on amendments in anti-defection law.

Recently Union Minister M Venkaiah Naidu also expressed his opinion on the need to strengthen the anti-defection law. Welcoming Venkaiah Naidu's opinion, YSR Congress has called for an ordinance to that effect should be passed immediately to safeguard Parliamentary democracy.
