Doing utmost to get funds for Telangana: Dattatreya

Union Labour Minister Dattatreya told the media on Saturday that he was doing his utmost to get funds for Telangana's projects such as Mission Bhagiratha, Mission Kakatiya as well as the Krishna Pushkarams.

Stating that it was the responsibility of the State government to utilise the funds given to them properly, he said a high amount was given for the development of backward districts of Khammam, Adilabad, Karimnagar and Warangal. On his part, he was trying for the establishment of turmeric, chilli and handloom parks in Telangana.

The Union Minister pointed out that Rs 580 Cr was straight away given to the village panchayats under the 14th Finance Commission recommendations.

In the Monsoon session of parliament, his ministry would be introducing three Bills. He revealed his plans for China trip.

He noted that G20 had appreciated the policies being pursued by the BJP-led government.
