Long week-end helps `Sultan' gross near Rs 150 crore

`Sultan' is Id Mubarak for Salman Khan. In just 3 days, the film netted Rs 105 crores and is rewriting all box office hits. Helped by long week-end and Id, the film has grossed the high figure, say experts.

The film was released on Ramzan day on Wednesday. Then because the moon was not cited Id was postponed by a day. On both the days, the cinema houses were full. Because of the week-end, the people took a virtual holiday on Friday also. Thus Sultan benefited from five holidays.

By the week-end, the film is expected to gross over Rs 150 crore.

As star, Salman Khan has a string of box office hits, starting from `Wanted', Dabang, Ek Tha Tiger, Bodyguard, Kick, Premratan Dhan Payo, Bhajrangi Bhai Jan, and now `Sultan.'
