State BJP leaders represent to Rajnath against MIM

Telangana State BJP leaders, including party floor leader G. Kishan Reddy, on Saturday demanded that the Union government initiate action against the MIM party for allegedly helping terrorist activities in Hyderabad city. Headed by Kishan Reddy, a delegation comprising MLAs NVSS Prabhakar, Nagam Janardhan Reddy, former MLA Baddam Balreddy and others met Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh and complained about the statement of MIM president and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi, who had stated that his party would provide legal aid to suspected ISIS modules arrested recently by NIA from Old City. After the meeting with Rajnath Singh, Kishan Reddy told the media that the Union Home Minister assured them that he would call for a report from the State government as well as from the Governor on the issue. Kishan Reddy alleged that the MIM was encouraging terrorist activities and Hyderabad city had become a haven for terrorists. It was not proper on the part of the Hyderabad MP to say that his party would provide legal aid to arrested ISIS modules. He said Asaduddin Owaisi should be debarred from Parliament for his “anti-national” statement. Kishan Reddy asked why the TRS government was maintaining silence over the sensitive issue. The TRS government should make its stand clear on the MIM, he demanded.
