Five Bangladeshis among 19 held in Old City
In a massive cordon and search operation at Hasannagar in Old City, the police on Saturday took into custody 18 suspects, including nine rowdy sheeters and five Bangladeshis. Significantly, tiffin boxes that have been used for bombs in the city in the past have also been seized. In all, 400 police personnel took part in the cordon & search. The police have seized from the Bangladeshis mobile phones, wires and tiffin boxes as well. The Bangladeshis were found in the house of twin-murder case accused Majid. As part of the raid, the police have seized 47 two-wheelers, whose owners did not have papers, 10 autos, and three cars. Sickles and liquor bottles were also seized during the raid.
