Health Minister to discuss `Arogyasri' with hospitals

Corporate hospitals stopping `Arogyasri' services to white card holders in Telangana was broached by Health Minister Laxma Reddy on Monday.

The minister said the government would discuss the stoppage of `Arogyasri' services with the corproate hospitals.

Talking to the media, he said there were certain difficulties in the `Arogyasri' agreement with the corporate hospitals. The hospitals demands were being looked into. He pointed out that the corporate hospitals had put up several demands to offer the services.

The main demand of the corporate hospitals is the question of pending bills, which mounted to over Rs 300 crore. He said the pending bills issue would also be discussed with the hospital managements.

The government would take a decision after discussing the matter with the corporate hospital managements.
