Techie's killer says she used to call him black langur

Infosys techie Swati was hacked to death by Ram Kumar of Tirunalveli for deriding him as black langur for his black complexion. He stalked the girl for days in the hope that his Facebook friend would some day acknowledge her love to him, but that never happened. On the fateful day also, Swati scolded and made fun of him. He was at the end of the tether and took a sickle out of his bag and hacked her in broad daylight at Nungambakkam railway station even as the bystanders simply ignored the killing. After the manhunt was launched by the Tamil Nadu police, he fled to Meenakshipuram and from there he monitored the news about the manhunt. Eventually he went to his native place. There he tried to live incognito. When he had to go out, he would act as shepherd and went out with a flock. One day a woman constable came to his house in the morning. Ram Kumar knew his game was up. He tried to commit suicide by slashing his throat with the sickle. The sickle the family would use to cut banana bunches, which he used on Swati and then on himself. After catching him, the police got Ramkumar admitted to hospital, before shifting him to Chennai for interrogation. He had told the police that they had become friends on the Facebook and they had a mutual friend. The police are looking for the mutual friend.
