Peddireddy rubs neighbour, says YCP flag flies in Palamner also

Sat, Jul 02, 2016, 12:11 PM
YCP general secretary Peddireddy Ramachndrareddy has challenged the ruling TDP to make the 20 MLAs who had defected to the ruling party to resign and seek re-election. If they all win the by-election, he was prepared to resign from politics.

Peddireddy, who is an MLA from Punganur in Chittoor district, was obliquely hinting at the YCP MLA from the neighbouring Palamner constituency, Amarnath Reddy, who had also defected to the ruling party, that the YCP would win anyways in the next election from Palamner. Even if Amarnath Reddy was made a minister and nominated to contest the by-election by the TDP, the winner would be the YCP, he added.

He was talking to the media in his village.

He accused the ruling TDP of encouraging defections despite having absolute majority in the House in order to ensure there was no opposition in the State.
