Don't mix up groups 1 & 2, say AP unemployed youth

Andhra Pradesh Nirudyogula Ikyavedika (APNI) has demanded that the Andhra Pradesh government not to include Group-2 executive posts in Group-1 and abolish G.O.No.622 and 623 and implement G.O.No. 420 and G.O.No.110. Speaking to the media here on Thursday, APNI founder-president Lagudu Govinda Rao demanded that the government fill the two lakh vacant posts with the unemployed youth. He said they would organize a one-day hunger strike at Guntur on July 2 in support of their demands. He said the government had to conduct the Group-2 examination in the old system by releasing notification for the vacant 10,000 Group-2 posts. He also demanded the Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) to withdraw the online system. He asked the government to give five years age relaxation and increase the age limit up to 45 years for the remaining jobs. Govinda Rao urged the government to conduct Group-1 re-examination immediately. He demanded the APPSC to announce the syllabi for the various examinations. The government has to provide job security to the unemployed youth and pass it as an Act in the Assembly. He further demanded the Telugu Desam government to implement the assurances given to the unemployed youth in the 2014 election manifesto. He said APNI would send one lakh SMSs to the Chief Minister, Ministers and the Governor through social media and it would take up a signature campaign and one lakh post card posting.
