200 judicial officials plan 15 days leave en masse

Hyderabad June 28: About 200 judicial officials in Telangana are going on leave en masse for 15 days from today to bring the judicial activity in the state to a stand-still in protest against the suspension of 11 judges and allocation of officials of Andhra Pradesh into Telangana courts according to informed sources.

Another main reason for the mass leave by the 200 judicial officials most of whom are judges is that the failure in the bifurcation of the high court among two Telugu States and denying them their rightful share of top level posts in various courts filled by their AP counterparts. In a related development, Union Law Minister Sadananda Gowda said that Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has to take a call on the separate high court with a suitable building and facilities and land if necessary.

Gowda’s comments against KCR and comparing him to Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal and disowning the role in bifurcation of the court which is subjudice, has invited wrath from the MPs and advocates alike from Telangana. Demanding the roll-back of suspension order of 11 judges the Telangana advocates are launching a tough fight against the AP government as well as Centre.

Some of the TS Advocates demanded the intervention of Union Urban Development Minister M Venkaiah Naidu to keep his promise of implementing AP Reorganization Act including bifurcation of High Court. While Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao is disconcerted at the development and is planning to shake the Centre by his proposed massive dharna at Jantar Mantar in Delhi.
