The High Commissioner expressed Britain’s willingness to raise investments in urban transport planning. He said they were encouraging the British private sector to come and invest in Amaravati. A presentation was made by the High Commissioner on UK’s possible involvement in the development of Amaravati, its infrastructure and basic facilities.

The British High Commissioner indicated that skill development, medical services, IT and infrastructure are some of the strong areas of the UK to involve in the development of Andhra Pradesh. “We want to help AP in improving the rank in ease of doing business. The UK once slipped, but then soon recovered and went up from 11th rank to 6th rank. We would like to share that experience and Andhra Pradesh can also draw experience from this” he said.

The King‘s College hospital project in collaboration with the UK is at the advanced stage and “we are clearing the proposal for land soon” the Chief Minister stated. Amaravati will be a futuristic city and one of the best 10 cities in the world, said the Chief Minister. “Andhra Pradesh will attract the best talents in the world. “We are bringing in the world’s best educational institutions to our State to make it an educational hub. Andhra Pradesh will soon emerge as a tourism and health care hub,” the Chief Minister said.

“Andhra Pradesh was adopting the best practices from all over the globe. Our students with superlative skill set and creativity are placed all around the world. Renowned MNCs have set up their offices in our State,” added the Chief Minister. “Our State is blessed with rich natural resources and a long sea coast.
