After Rajan enough is enough, BJP tells Swamy

Wed, Jun 22, 2016, 02:41 PM
While Dr Subramaniam Swamy mounted an attack on RBI Governor Dr Raghuram Rajan, the BJP had kept quiet despite their respective reservations. Now Dr Rajan has decided to go back to the academia, which is awaiting the noted economist.

Dr Swamy then trained his guns at Dr Arvind Subramanian, Prime Minister's adviser, on the ground that he was a Congress supporter.

While the Indian economy is on an even course despite the economic shambles all around, the BJP leaders have found their voice and want Dr Swamy not to cause further damage to the economy.

The BJP leaders say that Dr Swamy's are inappropriate remarks against working economists. The BJP economic affairs represenatative, Gopalakrishna Agarwal, said those were Dr Swamy's personal views, which might create differences between the party leaders. He had nothing further to say on the matter.

Another BJP leader said that Dr Swamy was a publicity-monger. For a ruling party leader to make such remarks was inappropriate. What would the people think when the economy was running smoothly, and Dr Swamy wanted to throw a spanner in the economy. But if you look deeply, Dr Swamy was not gunning for either Dr Rajan or Dr Subramanian, he was actually aiming at Finance Minister Arun Jaitley himself.

In his tweet, Dr Swamy said Dr Arvind Subramanian is a Congress supporter. So he should be removed from his position immediately. Now the BJP has put its foot down on Dr Swamy.
