Mudragada Padmanabham turns bitter after breaking fast

Wed, Jun 22, 2016, 12:52 PM
Kapu supremo Mudragada Padmanabham on Wednesday showed the dark side of the police action against him and members of his family.

Reaching home from the Rajahmundry Government Hospital and breaking his fast, Mudragada alleged that his son was beaten by the police with lathis and dragged to the police station earlier. He used an expletive for the police.

He said when the police came to arrest him as he sat on fast-unto-death, the doors of his Kirlampudi house were broken open by the police. He did not find fault with the police for breaking the doors.

Why should the police do in 3 hours of my fast what they should have done after 4 or 5 days? he demanded, referring to his being admitted to the Rajahmundry Government Hospital.

He was given respectable treatment all right. But it was not the same case with his wife, daughter-in-law and brother-in-law's wife. He alleged that expletives were used by the police against the womenfolk in his house while being dragged away to the police station.
